DennisTT has a rant about people removing the copyright in MyBB.
We’re hard working and honest people bringing you a quality product. Why can’t you say thank you by leaving 2 simple & small lines of text on the bottom of your forum?
Oh, and don’t think we can’t find your forum if you decide you’re going to remove the copyright.

2 small lines of credit aren’t much to leave in to recognise all of the effort put into the software you use. I make sure the copyright is always visible, least we can do!

Tbh those small lies are totally worth it.
A) For all the work by the developers.
B) You should be proud of running the product (hiding the version number is something I can agree with for security reasons 8-))
C) Its hardly a hindrance. Its at the bottom of the page anyway.

I have left the credits… its a copyright and well it shouldnt be removed.
Anways it is a good product so you have the right to credit for it
