Template Designs

Normally I wouldn’t use a template for a piece of software, I’d rather create my own with my own look and feel to it as it gives my website (or whatever i’m working on for that matter) a touch of me. However, this time it is different..

Don’t get be wrong, Kubrick is one slick and easy to work with design, however there is only so much Kubrick I can put up with - and me using the same design doesn’t help as i’m not being different, just apart of that huge mass of users now using Kubrick.

At the moment, i’m way too busy to finish my new design (which i’m not too fond of anymore anyway). I have TAFE assignments, MyBB and a whole load of other things in my life now and even though I would like my own site to have it’s own design I just don’t have the time to complete it. Hopefully that will change.

I’ve decided now to install and use the Green MarinĂ©e WordPress template by Ian Main for this site as I think it’s a pretty awesome WordPress theme and in some ways I think it suits me well. No blue again either!

Right now i’m still playing with a few things with the theme and adding back my old things such as the Recent Activity and Recently on Flickr (Which reminds me, I have a few new photos to upload!) and just some general tweaking with the CSS to be rid of the things I don’t like too much in the theme and to personalise it a bit more. Right now i’m deciding if I should move the menu to the top of the layout (under the logo, or maybe above?) from where it is over on the right..

Wow… different! At first I thought I clicked the wrong item in my address bar.

It is definitely green, but I have always liked green (since my room has been that way my whole life, I would hope so :P). You should have gone with the classic WordPress theme to match my site ;)

Anyways, when is your next break from TAFE? After next week, I have a few months off, so if you have to be overloaded by school or are going to lose Internet, I recommend doing it then :D ;)

Next break from TAFE is in two or something weeks.. Actually, I lied, it’s not a break - I will have finished my course by then.

After that I shall be doing a Diploma in Web Development (hopefully I get in to it)..

Comment tagging! I hope the police do not stop by here. (if you are lost, you are not alone… I think I confused myself :|)

Is there a limit to the number of people who can get into the Diploma in Web Dev. program or are you worried about other qualifications? I hope you are not worried about that, because if you are… I am in trouble because I am even less qualified :S

Well they can only run enough classes as they have teachers for and i’m guessing for this subject that’s probably only two classes. The usual amount of people per class is roughly 18-20 (though it drops back to about 10 with people dropping out near the end or part way through).

My submission was fairly detailed and outlined alot of the work I have done in the past (such as designs and companies who I’ve done some work for) and included things like working at Target, Network Admin at Yowie Bay Primary School and stuff like that.

    I should get in…
