“Where in the world is Mr. Boulton?!” If you’re asking yourself that then you have good reason to be. Where have I been? Well, i’ve been out studying for my HSC examinations which start on Monday 18th. Fun? No.
If you read my post about not becoming an MVP previously you will have learnt that I did not become a Microsoft MVP for Messenger as well as others who deserved it (even more tham me) and I was annoyed at how some people got it who haven’t had much input on the scene, don’t have much to do with Messenger, or aren’t doing lawful things with Messenger. Well my opinion on those people still stands. However I have learnt that a few more people have recently been accepted for the MVP positions – Patchou, the author of Messenger Plus!, wtbw, and DXtremz. Well done to them, they deserve every bit of it.
Right, well. Now that that bit is now off my mind..
For those of you have been living in a cave, Christopher Reeve died last Sunday. A superman both on stage and off stage. His life, a true inspiration to all.
Heh, you know something is wrong when Microsoft admits that their own natural keyboards are unnatural.
Finally, Windows Media Center 2005 – Australian version has been released. However it does not support the EPG (Electronic Program Guide). I’m not too sure if many people still use MCE anyway as there are much better free alternatives – but its still a great product from a great company (Please, don’t laugh – I will explain in a later post.)
Looks like we (Australia), are coping the blame again for being one of the world’s biggest carbon dioxide polluters who has failed to do anything about it. Perhaps they should spend some time fixing up, and perfecting the public transport system? Its far from being at a standardised level where people will use it to commute over their own transport.
Maybe I bought my iPod too early? Rumour has it that Apple are preparing a new iPod release for the Christmas holidays featuring a photo browser and a colour screen. Shnazzy!
Now, this puppy could be interesting if it actually works. Another Mac OSX/G4 emulator for Windows. Hmm.. So now I can use Final Cut Pro without spending a small fortune on a Mac?! Cool!
There’s umm, just afew (22) new security flaws in Microsoft products that Microsoft is warning us about. Maybe its time to make sure you’re running the latest versions of everything over at Windows Update.
Today’s free tool of the trade: nLite is a Microsoft Windows installation customizer allowing you to strip out the features you don’t need in Windows and burn a custom bootable CD. Perfect for networks where you need to deploy a stripped down customized version of Microsoft Windows but aren’t interested in ghosting.
