Venus Transit

There I was sitting down at complete loss of what I was supposed to be doing this afternoon, or more specifically what I was supposed to be looking at. I read about the Venus Transit last night while searching around and reading the general space news (Which really interests me by the way :)). After I had realised that I had completely forgot about it I ran outside (stupid of me yes) thinking I would see it. Intelligence struck again!. I whipped back inside and remembered a live stream that had been setup by Nasa so I tried to tune into it except the server was too busy.. Damn!

The Venus Transit is a very rare occurance as Venus passes right through the sun. The last time this happened was approximately 1882, and it will apparently happen again in 2012, and then not again until 100 years later.. I guess I will have to try and take a glimpse at its next time around then.
Oh well, I guess I missed it..

There is a picture here which looks pretty amazing.. I wish I had caught it.. :(

Space news doesn’t interest me in the least. eh, But I have found that some of the things that happen with the stars forming and the gasious effects that take place in the earth’s atmosphere and beyond are actually pretty nice?. I don’t know if that’s the right word, but I wouldn’t say pleasing, but I also wouldnt’ say bad. I just don’t have interest in the space per say.
