Reformatting your machine can be a huge pain in the rear-end. This is something i decided to do on Friday afternoon (due to my 3.06ghz laptop running like an absolute bus). It involved first of all backing up around 50gb of data to my other computers, flash drive, dvd’s and i even ended up resizing partitions on this drive to give myself somewhere to temporarily store things i needed.
Its now Monday, and i am still to restore alot of my programs. I’m not sure why I haven’t, I think its just a lack of effort on my behalf to try and find the CD’s for all of this software, then go through the long and enduring process of installing everything, restoring my preferences etc etc.
However, I am happy to report that I am back up and running again and my laptop is now running at the speeds it should be - without all of those rubbishy Toshiba applications as well..
